The American Government was experimenting I biological Weapons and was interested in working on the Were Virus after a few months they discovered they could change and manipulate the Virus by changing its DNA and adding other Viruses to it , mutated into a new form but mixing Eagle DNA And the Were Lion Virus they created totally new Virus a far more powerful one , They had a Marine dieing on Cancer test the new virus it not only cured him but made him powerful beyond everyones expectations , they decided to use It as a super Soldier Serum and began to give it to other Marines , the first five Marines that toke it turned Violent and had to be killed because they had Gone wild , they began to rework it into what is now today it lost some power but it gained a new ability being able to shape shift into a Eagle or Lion so whoever got infected could change into either perfect for spying during a test run on a new Marine something happened in the lab a chemical explosion killing a lot of people the Virus including the Marine after the Government ran a investigation it was decided to stop the project , one of the lab techs that survived was infected with the virus after getting injured the chemical changed the DNA of the virus yet again making it more power by the time the tech was found he had infected a unknown number of people after the government rounded up the infected it was decided they needed to be killed so they made it look like accident but they didnt know 21 of them escaped thanks to the older people so now they were alone and everyone thought they were dead so they couldnt go home and they needed to start a new life . They had no Homes , No Family and these powers they were learning to use thankfully why they were being held a former Marine taught them to fight so they were able to create a unique fighting Style.

The Females go into heat once every few months if they go without any physical touching of any kind they become in pain. The Males try and fight it but they cant and end up stopping the pain , by nature there very open and dont mind being naked but as there also humans they stay dressed as long as possible , as they sleep they like top feel others skin against there own . During a full moon they can either choose what form they want to be in a eagle or lion most choose being a Eagle easy to hide
When greeting a fellow Gryphon they tend to nuzzle or bump heads or kiss depending on the person they are greeting
